Over the years, this Claddagh ring has proven to be one of our enduring favorites. The Claddagh symbol is repeated around the band of the ring joined together with beautiful Celtic knotwork. Handcrafted in sterling silver and hallmarked at the Irish Assay Office in Dublin Castle.

Legend has it that the Claddagh symbol was originated by Richard Joyce, a Galway seafarer kidnapped by pirates and sold into slavery in North Africa where he learned the art of a goldsmith. When he was released, nothing could keep him from his beloved Galway where he returned to become a master goldsmith and where he created the Claddagh ring.

 

This ring is custom made to order and will take 2.5 weeks to complete, then get hallmarked and then be shipped. Please note that as a custom made piece it is non-refundable. Please double check your ring size before ordering.
